Our Heat Transfer printer enables us to create exceptional apparel such as t-shirts, logo shirts, tote bags, labels and more. Apply to both light and dark fabrics when combined with our premium or standard heat transfer paper for vivid colors, bright whites, glowing fluorescents, and true blacks. The printer features LED technology and low temperature fusing, allowing the use of an almost unlimited variety of media to print on. With it we can transfer onto delicate synthetics at 250 F° without damage to the fabric! We are able to print on media up to 11.6” x 52” (279 x 1321mm) and include graphics, text and images for banners, stationary or to transfer onto large garments. We can print and press onto cotton, polyester, 50/50 and more! Because this is a toner based transfer system, the variety of substrates to press onto is nearly endless!
We also offer Custom Heat Transfers. Customers can purchase Heat Transfers in almost any quantity that they can then press themselves based on their order requirements. Please see below for sample process.
We also offer Sublimation. Sublimation is quite similar to that of heat transfer paper. Like heat transfer paper, the process involves printing a design onto a sheet of specialty paper—sublimation paper in this case—and pressing it onto a garment with a heat press. The difference lies in the science behind sublimation. Sublimation ink, when heated, turns from a solid to a gas that embeds itself into the polyester fabric. When it cools, it goes back to a solid and becomes a permanent part of the fabric. This means that your transferred design adds no additional layer on top, so there’s no difference in feeling between the printed image and the rest of the fabric. This also means that the transfer is incredibly durable, and under normal conditions, the images you produce will last as long as the product itself. Sublimation not only works on polyester fabrics – it also works on a wide variety of hard surfaces with a poly-coating. This opens up an entirely new world of items you can customize – coasters, jewelry, mugs, puzzles and much more. All of which we carry!
We’ve saved the best for last – Direct to Garment. DTG for short, stands for “direct to garment” printing. With DTG, a printer directly applies the ink to the clothing item with inkjet technology. This concept is similar to printing on paper, except that it’s on a t-shirt or sweatshirt or hoodie or a variety of other items such as aprons, tote bags, even shoes. The desired design is printed directly onto the garment, hence direct to garment, with a special printer using water-based inks, which are absorbed by the fibers of the garment. For small batches or one-offs, or even large quantities, DTG is the option for you. Garment printers work like a regular printer and can only print one garment at a time. Since the process does not require the creation of a screen, a single garment is much cheaper this way. Since DTG printing is more precise than screen printing, you can achieve designs or even photographs with much more detail. There are fewer limitations on color and design when using a DTG printer. Also, since DTG printing does not use a stencil, the ink is applied in thinner quantities to achieve the high detail of many designs or photographs that are desired. A DTG printer works the same way as a regular printer in that it applies all the inks at one time. When printing on fabric colors other than white, a white underlayer is included to allow the colors to pop more.
